An exclusive black-tie dinner brimming with celebrity guests was the perfect accolade to Moët & Chandon’s 150th anniversary of Moët Impérial.

The event was hosted by Moët & Chandon President and CEO, Stephane Baschiera alongside their brand ambassador, Jesinta Franklin. One-hundred and fifty high-profile guests, influencers, media, and friends of the brand, including the Hon Julie Bishop, former AFL star Tom Rerrickx, and model Nikki Phillips, gathered at Sydney’s Townhall on Tuesday Evening for the luxury French winery’s signature brut.

A glamorous black carpet led to the spectacular venue where guests sipped on bespoke 1869 Impérial cocktails. Following the welcome drink, guests moved to the Centennial Hall where they indulged in a decadent two-course meal curated by a renowned French chef, Guillaume Brahimi. The dinner was accompanied by a string trio and a pianist, befitting for the elegant evening. Like the brand name, the hall echoed luxury. Moët’s signature gold and opulent decorations adorned the venue.

The fine dining was followed by Stephane Bachiera and Jesinta Franklin pouring a mesmerising 20-tier Moët Impérial champagne tower. The expectations of the guests were further exceeded with the performance of DJ Hayden James for the ‘Moët & Chandon Studio 1869’ after party, along with champagne vending machines.

The notorious Moët Impérial was born when Moët and Chandon decided to create brut non-vintage champagne entitled ‘Brut Impérial’ in homage to the relationship established in 1801 between Moët & Chandon and France’s Impérial family.

After its creation, Moët Impérial became recognised globally and was the customary brut champagne enjoyed at the most opulent events in the world. The champagne also became apart of the celebratory traditions in the sporting world, adding a touch of prestige to the global stage.

To mark this milestone for the luxury champagne embodying Maison’s extraordinary history and its unwavering commitment to excellence, Moët & Chandon have released a limited-edition bottle imbued with a reimagined logo featuring the “I” of “Impérial”. Notorious for its “bright fruitiness, seductive palate, and elegant maturity”, Moët Imperial has introduced a balanced blend that emulates the richness of the Champagne region. This emblematic champagne is derived from over 100 various wines chosen to enhance its maturity, complexity, and assemblage.

Jesinta Franklin disclosed on the evening, “It was an honour to host Moët Imperial’s 150th-anniversary event last night with CEO, Stephanie Baschiera. The iconic venue, food, champagne and after party was an incredible celebration.”
